Sketchnoting & Visual Recording

Visual Note Taking Services to Bring Your Content to Life!

Sketchnote by Emily Bryson ELT. The visual summary contains the benefits of visual recording, illustrated with colourful doodles. The benefits include: giving 'eternal life' to webinars and events, social media 'gold', simplifying complex information, as a gift to speakers and delegates, and that it's fun, memorable and accessible.

Ready to give your talks, webinars and workshops eternal life?

Want to simplify complex research or content?

Would you like to boost your social media engagement?

My sketchnoting services can help you! I have created visual recordings, hand drawn infographics and bespoke visual thinking templates for organisations such as National Geographic Learning, British Council. Macmillan Education, Ellii (formerly ESL Library), IATEFL YLTSig as well as individual clients.

These visually engaging summaries of information reduce processing load and add an element of fun. They are the perfect way to make complex information understandable and appealing.

They also serve as lasting reminders of a talk, webinar or conference. While a teacher training session may last an hour, sketchnotes continue to share the information, and encourage people to watch the recording for a lifetime!

I’ve also found that speakers LOVE to see their sessions as a colourful visual. Andre Hedlund described his as a beautiful ‘gift’ while Harry Waters commented that it was ‘the best feeling in the world’.

So if you’d like to gift your conference participants with a visual summary which stands the test of time, get in touch!

You can also:

  • Commission me to create a visual recording of one of your talks, sessions, webinars, articles, course content, etc.
  • Contract me to create some visually appealing presentation slides, graphic organisers or visual tools.
  • Hire me to deliver training to your organisation (staff or students) on sketchnoting or graphic facilitation.

Ready to Commission Me to Create Something Super COOL?

Here's what some of my clients have to say about my visuals:

'Not only is Emily creative, flexible and innovative in her wide range of approaches to graphic facilitation & visual recording, teaching, learning, writing and so on, but she is an absolute pleasure to work with. I first approached her simply about an idea, and that sparked an innumerable amount of ideas from Emily on how the event, Advancing Learning Fast-forward may become even more unique and accessible. Her ideas catapulted the event into a whole new format, never seen before in ELT, or out'

'Emily has always been at the forefront of ELT and innovation, and so I commissioned her to create a sketchnote for why LGBTQIA+ representation matters in ELT. The process was simple and I felt fully supported and listened to. I thought the process was quick, professional and exactly what I wanted. Having the sketchnote is not simply an easy and visual way of people seeing what I do, but it's also provided better exposure and engagement on social media. Having also seen Emily's commissioned work for organisations pop up on social media, as well as being present at some of her event talks, I can thoroughly recommend commissioning Emily for sketchnoting or having her speak at an event.'

'Emily’s mini-poster sketch on the benefits of podcasting has been an invaluable asset for my in-person talks at conferences and events.
Instead of handing out business cards, which often end up in the bin, I handed out the mini poster Emily created. I observed attendees engaging in talking about the poster (and my services) with fellow attendees, asking for extra copies to share with peers, and ultimately taking the poster home with them.'

'The sketchnote Emily created for me added professionalism to my posts and I've also included it on my website and will include it in a Refreshing Publishing magazine that I'm producing at the moment. After the IATEFL talk, it was great to have something to hand out to attendees that provided a great visual summary of my talk. I think it helped get me a couple of accessibility related projects which I may not have received otherwise. Both were related to alternative text so it certainly helped and played a part.'
