Welcome to 120+ Doodles for ELT Professionals.

This is the first step in my Graphic Facilitation for ELT professionals series.

Learning how to draw is just like learning a new language. Everyone can do it. It just takes a little time and practice.

Drawings are a visual vocabulary and a powerful communication tool. Learning how to draw some basic icons quickly can help you:

  • communicate effectively
  • engage your learners
  • make your lessons memorable
  • aid student understanding
  • support your learners note taking skills
  • encourage critical thinking
  • inspire others

This course will teach you some essential icons to make your lessons, whiteboards, flipcharts and resources more engaging.

There are twelve video lessons, each around 5-10 mins long. As with learning a language, the more you practise, the more quickly you will be able to remember how to do draw – and it will become part of your muscle memory. For that reason, I always suggest copying each icon a few times.

I also recommend using this course to start your ‘visual dictionary’. Once you have practised drawing each icon, add it to a notebook, ringbinder or digital file. Review this frequently and add any new icons that you learn to draw.

To get your certificate, you’ll need to mark every lesson as complete. You can do this as you go using the ‘mark complete’ buttons.

This is the first course in a series of courses in Graphic Facilitation for ELT Professionals. Once you have gained confidence with your doodles, why not try one of my other courses: www.EmilyBrysonELT.com/all-courses/
